Tony Geary will be the guest tutor for our 7mm Locomotive & Kit Construction course for the Spring Weekend 2023 as our regular tutor, Kevin Wilson is unavailable.
Tony left full time work about seven years ago and built 7mm scale models – mostly locomotives professionally for six years. He is now mostly concentrating on his own projects. His background in kit building goes back over 30 years in 4mm scale, building models for Stoke Summit and Charwelton. He moved up to 7mm Scale fifteen years ago and became involved with Richard Lamberts Heyside layout. Over the past few years he has been building his own layout based on Basford North. In the past Tony wrote articles for British Railway Modelling and has also been published in the Model Railway Journal a few times.
