Giles spent more than 40 years working in and for theatres, first in Stage Management and then Production Management, before becoming a Stage Engineering Designer and Theatre Consultant – designing the theatres themselves, rather than the shows that perform in them. More recently Giles and his wife Di have become well known in Model Railway circles as they have frequently been seen exhibiting and operating their stunning creation ‘Denton Brook‘ and before that the layout ‘End of the line’. Giles is also very active on YouTube, having published many videos of his layouts and the Radio Controlled creations that populate them. He recently authored a book, ‘Radio Control For Model Railways’ which provides a reference for both his road and rail vehicles.
