Courses this Spring
The Spring 2022 weekend has been confirmed as running from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th of March 2022. We are hopeful, following the successful running of our Autumn 2021 weekend, that the Spring 2022 weekend will go ahead as near normal as is possible. We will however continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and make adjustments as required.
The list of courses we will be running over this weekend is:
- 3D CAD for Railway Modellers with Justin Newitt
- 4mm Locomotive & Kit Construction with Tony Gee & Tim Watson – almost sold out
- 7mm Locomotive & Kit Construction with Kevin Wilson – sold out
- Painting & Lining with Ian Rathbone
- Backscenes & Scenics with Paul Bambrick – sold out
- Weathering (including the return of airbrushing) with Chris Hopper & Andrew Thompson
Two new courses for Spring 2022
We continue to investigate new courses and innovations for future weekends and are happy to receive suggestions for courses via our contact page.
Bookings are currently being taken for the Spring weekend. All residential places have now been sold, we do operate a waiting list of those that wish to stay at Missenden Abbey, contact us if you wish to be placed on the waiting list. Alternatively there are many options to stay locally to Great Missenden.
The semaphore signalling, backscenes & scenics and 7mm kit construction courses are now full, we have limited places for 4mm kit construction. Places are available in all other courses.
How the Weekend Works
If you are new to the Missenden Abbey Railway Modeller weekends and wish to get a flavour for what we do then why not look at one of our virtual weekends that we ran during the Covid pandemic. Included are recordings of the various live sessions that took place over the two weekends.
