A popular course that is run at every weekend, modellers bring along kits to work on with tuition from our experts to help. Although by far the most popular thing to build is a locomotive, this course is not limited to that and coaching stock or wagon may also be built. Typically modellers work with etched brass or nickel silver models or cast white metal. Over recent years we are seeing more mixed media kits coming onto the market that may feature resin cast or 3D printed plastic components.
The course is usually divided into two room, one for 7mm and larger scales and the other for the smaller scales, typical 4mm and smaller. The 4mm room will normally have two tutors as this is a very popular option.
